RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has condemned recent attacks on vital facilities in Port Sudan and Kassala, emphasizing that such actions threaten regional stability and Arab security.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the ongoing crisis in Sudan can only be resolved through political dialogue, while respecting Sudan's sovereignty and unity.
Saudi Arabia also reaffirmed the importance of adhering to the Jeddah Declaration, which focuses on protecting civilians in Sudan.
The attacks, carried out by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), targeted Port Sudan’s Osman Digna air base, a warehouse, and civilian infrastructure.
Since the conflict began in April 2023, the RSF has increasingly relied on drone strikes after losing key territories, including Khartoum, in March.
